Dutch Design Week, hosted in our hometown of Eindhoven in the Netherlands, is a nine-day celebration of design innovation. From October 17 – 25, the city is abuzz with exhibitions, workshops, and parties, all to highlight the importance of design in our lives.
At Shapeways, we love to celebrate amazing products and the creative designers behind them. So this year for Dutch Design Week, we’re joining in the fun by opening the doors to our Shapeways factory for tours and workshops and hosting a special party for our Community. Running throughout the week, our tours will show you how we bring products to life with our state of the art 3D printing process. Our workshops will help you get started with 3D printing, and are specially designed for beginners and kids.

1) Mijn leerlingen uit het laatste jaar elektromechanica hadden op woensdag 21 oktober in de namiddag graag een bezoek gebracht aan uw bedrijf. De groep bestaat uit 18 leerlingen en 3 docenten.
Zijn we welkom tijdens de designweek?
2) Als er leerlingen willen deelnemen aan de workshop op zaterdag, welk besturingssysteem dient hun laptop dan te hebben? Is het nodig dat ze reeds bepaalde software op hun laptop installeren?

Hi Ferdinand,
Leuk dat jullie met een hele groep willen langskomen! We hebben woensdag nog genoeg plaatsen voor de hele groep, ik zal even de aanmeldingen voor het event sluiten zodat we de maximum capaciteit kunnen waarborgen. De workshop zal vooral software gebruiken die via een webbrowser te gebruiken zijn. Zolang de laptop op WiFi kan komen ze dus een heel eind 🙂 Zorg wel dat ze zich even aanmelden voor een van de twee workshop dagen via http://www.meetup.com/shapeways zodat we ze kunnen verwachten.
